Wreck this journal

Published June 9, 2015 by GenYMission

today has been a reeaalllyy sssllloooowwww daaayyyy.

So I decided to take a look at my summer bucket list for some inspiration!

A wreck this journal, I have looked it up is a journal you do random stuff to, just to be creative or whatever. Also to relieve stress and anger and stuff.

Here is the journal that will be used:

As you can see, it was at one time supposed to be my weekend planner journal. That never happened and it’s practically empty.

(You have to look closely to see weekend planner scrawled out in pencil)

It has about 83 pages (counting front and back as one page) I probably lost track a couple of times though so it might not be completely accurate!

So this will be the journal you will see me wreck. First, I need to design a better cover for it, then, figure out what will happen to the pages inside! Here are a few ideas!

1:glitter (because glitter)

2: fill a page with circles

3: color an entire page

4: zen tangles

5:make a list of favorite words

6: write backwards

7: write a word over and over

8: page of 5 letter words

9: trace my hand

10: draw on the entire page using one line, not overlapping

11: add some page numbers

12: glue magazine pics to a page

13:paint with fingernail polish

14:

Honestly, there’s a lot of pages in this journal, so I need help coming up with more ideas. Come on readership! Don’t be shy!

Comment some ideas for the what you’d like me to do to this thing!

Also, what should I do to the cover?

If you inspire me with an idea, I will mention you in a post dedicated to that page (and link to your blog)

The same goes for the bucket list! (Just to remind you about that, if you want to add to it)

Anyways, your all totally awesome, and great people!

Thank you for reading, once again, each and every one of you! 😉

Soaring through the clouds

Published May 30, 2015 by GenYMission

today of as a fun day, more or less.

It was an adventure, I’ll give it that.

Last night I couldn’t sleep a wink. My nerves were too jittery or something and I ended up maybe sleeping for 30 minutes to an hour.

That tends to happen to me the night before a big important event (the first day of school, the last day of school, the day before a trip…)

Anyways, today happened to be the day I left on w trip. Not only that, it was my first time in an airplane ever!

I had very mixed emotions about this new realm of possibility.

I was obviously very nervy (my nerves were jittery, which seems to mean both nervous and excited) the night before. As we pulled into the airport I was still nervous+excited. We got through security easily enough and then had to wait for our flight.

It was somewhat torturous as I just wanted to be over with that already… Mostly because I hate feeling anxious and that feeling wasn’t going away.

Finally they called us onto the plane, (actually… It might have been a jet?) but we still had 20 minutes to wait and that dragged on along with my anxiety.

And then we heard the announcer announce all of her flight announcements and the plane started growling, or purring or whatever (the engine started)

We started backing up, which of course was the perfect time for me to start giggling madly (do remember I was on minimal amount of sleep although I can’t promise I wouldn’t have done this anyways)

After backing up and turning around and a few more adjustments, the plane (jet) was on the runway and started moving quickly, which made me giggle even more madly realizing we were about to leave the ground (did I mention I’m kind of afraid of heights?)

It actually wasn’t too bad when the plane lurched into the air. I was still nervous for a few minutes after that, but then I just kept looking at the view and being happy.

At the first cloud we flew through, I appropriately exclaimed “we’re in a cloud!”

After a while I started taking a bunch of pictures, here are my favorites:

This was the first picture I took of a lovely cloud and some mountains. Also if you look closely at the jet planes wing, on the tip is a picture of a mountain goat thing 🙂

That lake is shaped like a seal. I had to take a picture of that!

This was the coolest moment of the entire flight because I looked down and saw the shadow of the airplane on a cloud surrounded by a circle of rainbow! It was at this point I got excited and started take ng a bunch of pictures (we were in a mass of puffy white clouds!)

There’s the plane in the rainbow circle again! I suppose it could represent my fears as the shadow of the plain and God making it okay by surrounding them in a circle of rainbows. Which is like, peace I guess. Basically, protection. I really liked that I saw that. It was the highlight of the flight.

This is pretty

We were descending  at this point, and see a big pretty lake! 🙂
Anyways, so that’s what happened to me today. That and a bunch of stuff that’s not nearly as cool as the flight.

Thank you for reading, you’re awesome and beautiful! Bye!

Drive in movie, check!

Published May 25, 2015 by GenYMission

Considering this is the week that summer vacation starts, it was a totally fair thing to start my bucket list today!

(Not that it matters, I haven’t yet checked anything off the priority 25)

So today, I went with my mom to the drive in movies!

It was more comfortable than sitting in a movie theater.

Here’s the big screen (and our windshield was dirty)

We saw tomorrow land! Which was great, and inspiring. Not giving a way any spoilers.

Let’s see, did this make summer more awesome? Sure! Of course it did, it was a movie I could watch from the car.

Other than the fact that our car radio automatically shuts off about every 10 minutes, it was pretty great.

I noticed that it’s easier to sneak snacks into the drive in than the regular movie theater. Although, I don’t usually have many problems with that. 🙂

Anyways, I did take (over) 10 pictures today to, so here’s a few lovely pictures of… Trees

100+ awesome ideas for summer vacation

Published May 23, 2015 by GenYMission

So, the other day, a group I’m in decided to make ‘Summer bucket lists’ and have a competition for how many items each of us can complete by the end of the summer. Everyone made a list of 25 items so the competition would be fair. After I was done with my list, I decided I liked making it and wanted to add more to my list (But for competitions sake, I’d only use the original 25 items to compete) So I came up with over 100 things that would be cool to do (Maybe not even all this summer, but someday) Anyways, the top 25 are what I’m using for the competition and the rest are just for fun. 1. Actually, I have another idea, you can challenge me to do something else, and I’ll add it to the list (I want to make this list as big as I possibly can!) I might need more than the summer to do it though, I want it to keep growing so that I can just have something to do anytime (I’ll try to post about each thing)
  2. I do have limits though, nothing stupidly dangerous, or sexual. (You read the list, you know what kind of things I’m looking for, traveling places will work, but that will probably require at least a year) (also won’t post photos/videos of myself!)
  3. So, feel free to challenge me to do something!
  4. Later readers! thanks for being awesome
